Claire was excellent again and so
was the Dance tutor. Students gained a lot from their excellent input.
Dance
STS Pavilion Dance Tutors are at the top of their field, performing for some of the best dance
companies in the UK and travelling internationally as performers and choreographers. They are
vastly experienced workshop facilitators who inspire excellence within their sessions. As active
dance practitioners they work as award winning choreographers, performers in dance companies,
corporate dance & TV, many running their own dance companies with their own unique
choreographic style.
Many of our Tutors have developed ongoing relationships with the schools they have met on STS
Pavilion tour, continuing work with them in the UK and visiting with workshops as a preparation
for future trips. Their tuition can improve students’ dance skills and knowledge and refresh and
stimulate imaginative choreography, whilst bringing students in contact with professionals working
in the creative industries and bringing new techniques for students to develop on return to the UK.

Dance workshops can also be complimented well
when bringing Music and Theatre groups.
Previous Performing Arts Groups have combined
samba music with samba dance, body
percussion with percussion with everyday
objects, or using a given stimulus as a start point
for both dance and drama workshops, exploring
how to use different dance & drama techniques
for devising and choreographing original works.
The trips offer a fantastic opportunity to create
links between Performing Arts departments & to
integrate cross-curriculum.
