This beautiful Spanish province offers a myriad of sites and attractions for your Geography students. From urban development in Barcelona, glaciation in the Pyrenees, coastal management on the Costa Brava or Costa Dorada to volcanic activity in La Garrotxa National Park our in-depth programme offers a wide variety of modules linked to the National Curriculum.

STUDY PROGRAMME
We work with a well-established Geography Field Studies centre offering English-speaking, U.K. qualified teaching staff, with additional input from specialist Natural Park staff and the Barcelona business community. You choose the content yourself from a wide variety of modules enabling you to tailor-make your own tour to suit your student’s needs. You will choose between two programmes –

Centre-Taught Courses
The Centre teaching staff take full responsibility for the course teaching and provide evening follow-up sessions at your accommodation. Your active involvement is strongly encouraged, whether in contributing to the teaching, supervising and assisting the students or in allocating students and staff to the most appropriate small working group. (Small supplement applies)

Centre Assisted Courses
Tuition is shared between the Centre teaching staff and you each day. The programme is normally designed and led by you with a Barcelona Field Studies Centre member of staff assisting during the work in the field. There are no included evening tutorials.

Day 3	Full day excursion and study of La Garroxta Volcanic Park.
Day 4	Full day excursion to Barcelona; study of Town-planning and Development.
Day 5	Full day excursion to River Ripoll; river study from source to mouth
Day 6	Morning at leisure. Depart after lunch for overnight travel to Calais
Day 7	Ferry crossing Calais-Dover and coach journey to school

This 2-star hotel is located in a quiet residential area of one of Spain's most picturesque and unspoilt resorts. It is situated 10 minutes from the town centre and 100 metres from the beach. It has 38 large triple or twin bedrooms, all with en suite facilities, terrace, TV and telephone. The teaching room is adjacent to the hotel, and is self-contained, with a student lounge, and wash room facilities.
During peak periods, groups may be accommodated in the adjoining hotel, the one-star Hotel Alba. Groups have exclusive use of its rooms and facilities.
