STS Pavilion Tours Group Iceland

Iceland

With Lunar landscapes, hot water springs, volcanoes, glaciers and geysers, Iceland is a memorable destination for geography students.
Our groups stay in the world's most northerly capital, Reykjavik - which provides a perfect base from which to explore the other-world terrain of this unique country.
Due to the demand of our Geography tours to Iceland we have added the Hotel Cabin to our accommodation options. All students are in twin bedded rooms with en-suite facilities. The hotel is already proving to be very popular with students and party leaders alike.

Tailor made Itineraries

With our experienced team of advisors and expert partners in Iceland, STS Pavilion are adept at producing customised itineraries.
The study excursions in our Set Programmes are all inter-changeable. We also have many suggestions to help achieve your key objectives. For example, and depending on flight arrangements, it may be preferable to include Svartsengi and a dip in the Blue Lagoon as part of your return transfer to Keflavík. This frees up time earlier in the agenda for other study goals and activities.
You may like to substitute our South Shore itinerary with a visit to the enchanting glacial valley of Thorsmörk. Or how about a domestic flight to the island of Heimaey where rescue teams saved the fishing harbour in 1973 by spraying seawater onto advancing volcanic ash and lava?

During the summer months (May-September) the desert interior is traversable and we can arrange programmes that explore the volcanic north with its many beautiful features in the Akureyri and Lake Mývatn region.
Of course just about any geographical topic can be studied, from settlements and living with danger, to plate tectonics and vulcanology; from rivers and glaciation to colonisation and erosion.
We are happy to assist in tailoring the ground arrangements to help you achieve your study goals.
