Watersports Venture in Murcia

At the foot of the magnificent Mount Benacantil on Spain’s Costa Cálida coastline with many stunning sandy beaches, a vibrant energy and wealthy history, Murcia offers the ideal opportunity for school groups looking to experience exhilarating and stimulating adventures.

Staff and students can relax in this exceptionally safe and fully staffed resort with full board where packed or picnic lunches are provided for group’s days out. Only 50 metres from the beach and close to a wide range of amenities, the bunk room accommodation is comfortable and convenient for every adventure sports enthusiast.

Free-time is taken care of with superb shopping areas such as the Panoramis Complex, open 24 hours with a diverse variety of shops and restaurants; and entertainment sites in the Costa Cálida area as well as nearby cities such as the historic, Murcia. For a day away from the activities, we recommend visiting Aqualandia, Europe’s largest water park, just over half an hour from the resort with over 20 thrilling rides.

With its Mediterranean climate, Murcia is a year-round destination; we suggest visiting in May Half Term or at Easter, when the weather is warm and there is a large choice of outdoor activities. For a quieter stay with milder weather, both October and February Half Terms are also recommended.

Wider curriculum links: Offering superb adventure facilities in the second largest city in Valencia, alongside welcoming Catalan culture in its spectacular coastal location, Murcia communicates a natural link between Outdoor Pursuits and other curriculum areas, including History, Geography, Physical Education and Geology. One of many educational excursions’ we can suggest for a free afternoon is a trip to the Archaeological Museum of Alicante (MARQ) specialising in Underwater, Field and Urban Archaeology.
