L’Escala occupies an idyllic location on Spain’s Costa Brava coastline with several airports close by and a 16 hour journey from Calais. The lively city of Barcelona is just over 90 minutes drive away where football fans can enjoy a visit to the legendary Nou Camp Stadium, one of the largest in Europe and host to many important matches.

Staff and students can relax in this exceptionally safe and fully staffed resort, including a resort manager and beach manager. Chalet or mobile home accommodation is on offer, with amenities, Blue Flag beaches and the activities all conveniently located within walking distance of the hotel.

Free-time is taken care of with superb shopping areas and entertainment sites in the Costa Brava area as well as nearby cities such as the historic, Girona. A wide selection of cultural excursions is also on offer, including visiting the town of Empuries, where ancient Phoenicean and Roman ruins rest between L’Escala and the small town of Sant Marti.

With its Mediterranean climate, L’Escala is a year-round destination; we suggest visiting in May Half Term or at Easter, when the weather is warm and there is a large choice of outdoor activities.

Tailored activity sessions are designed to meet each group’s individual needs. Teachers can specify desired aims and objectives to the team.

Adaptable to each group’s needs, a diverse assortment of action packed activities are available to many groups, designed to challenge participants and give students’ the opportunity to push their own boundaries and reach their full potential during adrenaline-fuelled activities. These include:

Our Best Value Sample Itinerary 

If you are interested in travelling by coach to the above destination please add on two days to the itinerary for travel

 

Day 1:
Arrive at the airport for your flight to Spain, once you touch down a coach will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. Once you arrive at your accommodation enjoy a hot and cold buffet dinner to start your Spanish experience.

Day 2:
After breakfast hop on your coach and take the short ride to the beach for you first activity, sailing. Having had lunch, your group will have a session of windsurfing in the afternoon. When you return to the accommodation it will be time for dinner. Then take part in some of the evening entertainments being held by the resort staff each night.

Day 3:
Have breakfast and walk down to the local beach for snorkelling in the beautiful bay close to the accomodation. Then after lunch spend the afternoon kayaking. Having spent the day on the water return to resort for your evening meal and more evening fun with the reps.

Day 4:
In the morning take the coach to Lloret de Mar for a visit to the water park. Enjoy the slides and attractions for a full day of fun with your group. After dinner, encourage your students to show their singing skills off at a karaoke evening.

Day 5:
Enjoy breakfast before mountain biking on trails in the beautiful surroundings of the accomodation. Then in the afternoon you will have a choice of your favourite activity to repeat and try and improve. For your evening meal gather your group for a BBQ before having a disco with the Pavilion team.

Day 6:
In the morning pack your bags and prepare for the journey back to the UK. A coach will transfer you to the airport ready for your flight back home.
