Platja d'Aro occupies an enviable location on Spain's Costa Brava coastline, within easy reach of airports, training sites and fixture sites. Football fans will appreciate the close proximity to Barcelona (a 90 minute drive), where the legendary Nou Camp Stadium can be experienced.

Staff can relax in this safe and welcoming resort, where amenities and Blue Flag beaches are conveniently located within walking distance of the hotel.

Free-time is taken care of, with superb shopping and entertainment opportunities in Platja d'Aro. A wide choice of sports and cultural excursions are also on offer. Evening entertainment is on hand at the disco, karaoke bar and Magic Park amusement centre, or the bowling alley is just a five minute drive away.

With its Mediterranean climate, Platja d'Aro is a year-round destination; we suggest visiting in May Half Term or at Easter, when the weather is warm and there is a large choice of teams to play. For a quieter stay with milder weather, both October and February Half Terms are also recommended.

The most popular sport in the country, Catalan's people live and breathe football, so you can be confident that they share your passion.

Our in-country referees and coaches demonstrate enviable skill and professionalism, offering 90 minute training sessions which aim to generate positive learning outcomes through challenging players' decision making skills and enhancing their performance.

Playing on 3G Astro Turf, pitches include excellent changing facilities, and most incorporate stadiums, which welcome spectators and supporting teams.

Teachers can choose to add as many training sessions as they desire, and are more than welcome to coach students themselves, if they prefer.

Students will enrich their learning and experiences further by playing both English and Spanish teams, allowing them to build confidence in their cultural understanding, communication skills and sporting abilities.

Our Best Value Sample Itinerary from £439

If you are interested in travelling by coach to the above destination please add on two days to the itinerary for travel.

Day 1:
Fly from a London airport to Spain. On arrival a coach will pick you up and transfer you to the accommodation where you will be met by a representative who will assist with check-in. Enjoy a hot and cold buffet dinner at your accommodation.

Day 2:
After breakfast depart on your coach and travel to Barcelona to experience an abundance of culture, sights and sounds. In the morning take a tour of the largest stadium in Europe, Camp Nou. See it in all its majesty from the grand stand, through the tunnels and changing rooms. Sit in Messi’s place and take the role of Josep ‘Pep’ Guardiola i Sala in the dugout. Travel in your coach to Parc guell where the group can have packed lunches before traveling onto La Rambla where students can immerse themselves amongst the vast variety of street entertainment and take advantage of the nearby local and high street shops. When you return to your resort either have an evening meal at the hotel or at a local pizzeria (supplement applies).

Day 3:
Board your coach after breakfast and drive to the training facilities for a morning practice session. In the afternoon take on the local opposition in your first local fixture. When you get back from your match, you will have an evening meal at the hotel before getting ready for a trip to the bowling alley or another fantastic evening activity in resort.

Day 4:
Take a short walk down to the beach after breakfast staying in resort for a relaxing morning. In the afternoon get back on the coach for the next game against different opposition. For a memorable evening get dressed up for a disco

Day 5:
In the morning take the coach to Lloret de Mar and visit the water park for a full day of water based fun. On your way back to the hotel compete in the final fixture of your tour against a local club. After dinner at the hotel, take your group to a Karaoke night in a local venue.

Day 6:
In the morning pack your bags and prepare for the journey back to the UK. The coach will transfer you to the airport ready for your flight back home.
