Dance in Paris
A thriving and sophisticated metropolitan city renowned for its influential artistes, Paris offers the ideal opportunity for students to stimulate their passion for Dance outside the UK and beyond the school grounds.
Pavilion offers a choice of either city-centre hotels in close proximity to the workshop spaces or suburban accommodation away from the hustle and bustle and with enhanced facilities for school groups. Paris is approximately four hours coach drive from Calais and a short drive from Disneyland Resort Paris. Groups travelling by Eurostar can take advantage of the highly efficient and comprehensible Metro service.
Free-time is taken care of with a tour of the Paris Opera or a visit to Montmartre, the traditional artisan district. The city offers a chic range of shopping including Galeries Lafayette, filled with designer labels, or the Bercy Village, transformed from a 19th century stonehouse into a selection of boutiques. Your visit would not be complete without an ascent of the iconic Eiffel Tower and a cruise down the River Seine, taking in the major Paris landmarks by day or night.
Dance groups also have the opportunity to perform at Disneyland Paris or participate in a workshop as part of Disney Magic Music Days.
Wider curriculum links: Offering superb facilities alongside Parisian culture and neo-classical architecture in an inspiring metropolitan location, Paris communicates a natural link between Dance and other curriculum areas such as Languages, History, Art and Geography.
