Dance in Croatia

Surrounded by forest and offering spectacular views, the seaside town of Opatija offers the perfect backdrop for your Performing Arts tour.

Accommodation is offered on a full-board basis in comfortable, friendly hotels and workshops are held in hotel spaces, local Dance studios and also studios in the nearby city of Rijeka. Renowned for having something for everyone, Opatija has a variety of cultural festivals, carnivals and events throughout the year including the Liburnia Jazz festival in the summer.

The weather is very good for the vast majority of the year; we suggest visiting in May Half Term and the summer months when the weather is at its best. However, the weather is still warm in February, Easter and October half terms.

Wider curriculum links: Offering workshop facilities and activities in an idyllic coastal setting, Opatija communicates a natural link between Dance, the Arts and other curriculum areas, including History and Geography.
