We have developed a non-stop agenda of activities and challenges that students will find immensely rewarding. An STS Pavilion Adventure tour has direct benefits in terms of the National Curriculum. In addition to direct sports skill development, students are given a unique opportunity to enhance their social and cultural awareness. Decision-making and risk management is central to all activities, bringing with it new levels of confidence, personal achievement and fulfilment.

Watersports Safe Practice

We take great pride in ensuring that the best balance of safety, personal development and enjoyment are achieved on all our programmes. Our instructors adhere to UK National Governing Body guidelines on safe practice and tailor our activities to each group's ages and abilities. To assist you with your risk management and tour preparation, we recommend Adventure Activity Centres: Five Steps to Risk Assessment published by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Safe Practice in Physical Education published by British Association of Advisors and Lecturers in Physical Education (BAALPE).

All participants must be able to swim 50 metres

Rescue boats on permanent stand-by

Buoyancy aids compulsory on the water

Safe Sun check before each session

Safe footwear compulsory on the water

Emergency telephone backup

Equipment checked before each session

First Aid kits always available

Correct instructor to pupil ratios
